General Description: Deciduous. A sprawling, scrambling, branched and woody vine, with tendrils, often covering entire trees.
Height: Varies     Width: Varies

Elevation: 2000 - 7500 feet

Flower Characteristics

Color: Greenish-white   Shape: Inconspicuous in clusters     Tubular: N   Flowering Period: Apr - Jul
Description: Small, greenish-white with 4 or 5 petals in clusters.

Leaf Color: Dark green   Type: Simple   Shape: Triangular   Margin: Toothed   Attachment: Alternate   Hairs: N
Description: Dark green, broadly heart-shaped, coarsely toothed to 6 inches long and 4-3/4 inches wide.

Fruit Characteristics

Color: Purple-black   Type: Berry-like   Description: Clusters of 1/4 inch waxy grapes. Can be used for making jelly, wine and juice. Attractive to birds and small animals.
