Forb Plant Description

Origin: Native   Life Cycle: Biennial or annual
General Desc: An erect, branching annual with pinnatifid leaves and hairy stems. The white flowers occur in dense clusters at the top of the stems. It is a conspicuous white roadside flower.
Height: To 2 feet


Habitat Description: Clay soils, roadsides, fields and washes.
Plant Communities: Desert Scrub, Interior Chaparral, Semidesert Grasslands, Disturbed Areas
Elevation: Below 5000 feet

Flower Characteristics

Color: White     Shape: Regular in round clusters     Tubular: N     Flowering Period: Apr - Aug
Description: The pure white flowers have 4 petals and are 1/8 inch wide. The flowers are in dense clusters at the ends of the leafy, hairy stems.
