Origin: Native   Life Cycle: Annual
General Desc: Small, slender plant with daisy-like flowers with yellow rays and greenish center.
Height: 4 to 8 inches


Habitat Description: Open places, scrub-lands, pinyon-juniper woodlands.
Plant Communities: Interior Chaparral, Semidesert Grasslands, Pinyon Juniper Woodland
Elevation: 3500 - 7500 feet

Flower Characteristics

Color: Yellow with greenish disk     Shape: Daisy or Dandelion-like not in clusters     Tubular: N     Flowering Period: Jul - Sep
Description: The flower heads are small and have a rounded dome of green disk flowers and a ring of yellow petals with two points on the ends.
